General Norwood industrial history series consists of some general information on business and industry in Norwood, Mass., including some clippings (1898-1930), list of industries in Norwood in 1971, and some general history of Norwood, including copy of Norwood: One of the Newest and Most Progressive Towns in Massachusetts (1905) which covers numerous businesses and individuals and a photocopy of Industrial History of Norwood, Mass., a master's thesis by Edward M. Gilpatrick (Boston University, 1939). Individual Norwood businesses series consists of correspondence, photographs, company histories, clippings, and other materials relating to different businesses and/or industries in Norwood, the information varying widely. Included in the many businesses represented are: American Brake Shoe and Foundry Company, Beaver Coal & Grain Co., Willard Everett Furniture Co., T.O. Metcalf & Co., Printers, Norwood Machine Works, Inc., Polaroid Corp., and Savogran Company.
